A Call Center Agent is Under Investigation for Allegedly Stealing P7 Million

According to recent reports from the Eastwood police station, a call center agent by the name of Melanie Jane Tianco is currently being investigated for alleged embezzlement. Ernestine Bautista, a 36-year-old woman from Quezon City, has accused Tianco of stealing a total of P7 million from her.

Bautista explained to the authorities that she had entrusted Tianco with P5 million to be used for her house and lot mortgage, and another P2 million to secure her membership at the exclusive Balesin Island resort. However, upon meeting with Tianco at a coffee shop in Barangay Bagumbayan on Monday at approximately 4 p.m., Bautista discovered that all the money was missing.

According to Bautista's statement to the police, Tianco admitted to misappropriating the funds. As a result, the police have invited the suspect to the Eastwood police station to provide further insight into the matter.
