She stated that she had checked online to see how much it would cost to rebook her return flight from April 17 to April 12, but after seeing the rebooking fees of PHP33,000 (US$589.65), she decided not to go ahead with the change. Despite not paying the rebooking fee, she claimed that Cebu Pacific changed her flight details from April 17 to April 12, essentially forcing her to pay the fee. When she contacted customer service, they reportedly informed her that they could not revert the flight back to her original booking. Sarol ended up purchasing a new ticket with another airline. Netizens have advised her to escalate the matter to the Department of Trade and Industry or the Civil Aeronautics Board.
