GOMO App Error Delays SIM Registration for Some Users
GOMO, the all-digital mobile brand of Globe Telecom, has encountered an error in its GOMO app, preventing some users from registering their SIM packs. The glitch has caused inconvenience to affected customers who have been unable to activate their SIM cards.
Users were reportedly unable to continue after inputting their personal information throughout the registration procedure because of the issue. They couldn't finish the registration since the app would either freeze or crash, and some reportedly won't upload selfies and soft copies of their IDs.
GOMO acknowledged the issue and apologized for the inconvenience caused. The company's technical team is currently working to resolve the problem and ensure that all users can register their SIM packs without any difficulty.
"We understand the frustration and inconvenience that this has caused our customers, and we would like to apologize for the inconvenience. We are working closely with our technical team to fix the issue as soon as possible," said Darius Delgado, Vice President for Marketing of Globe's Consumer Mobile Business.
Affected users were instructed by GOMO to report the problem and seek assistance by getting in touch with their customer care team through chat or email. To manually activate their SIM card, they can also go to the closest GOMO store.
The company assured its customers that their personal information remains secure despite the error. "We would like to assure our customers that their data is safe and secure, and we are doing everything we can to fix the issue and prevent similar incidents in the future," Delgado added.
Because of its simple SIM registration process and cost-effective data and call promotions, people favor the GOMO app. The business has committed to informing its clients of any situational developments.
